Air Cooler Thermal Design, Sizing

Calculate in Metric Units

Перейти на русский

Air coolers are devices for rejecting heat from a fluid flowing in tubes to ambient air. Air coolers are produced as small as an automobile radiator to huge air coolers to reject the heat from turbine exhaust. Air cooler includes the following components:
1. Tube bundle(s).
2. An air-moving device: fan or blower.
3. Plenum and support structure.
4. Louvers (optional) for outlet temperature control.
This website allows doing thermal calculation and sizing for an air cooler tube bundle and power components for the unit. Default fluid is water. To calculate and size an air cooler for other fluids the user has to input properties of the fluid.
